Physician Practice FAQs

For your convenience we have listed some of the frequently asked questions below.

Q:  Is there a lot of expense associated with the addition of rehabilitation or wound care services?

A:  With URS, the answer is NO. Many companies have up-front fees or simply over design the rehab component of your practice. URS founded and developed the RAMP module for physician practices to allow you to add rehabilitation services with a minimal investment and then grow the services with your revenue. In most cases we have our clients up and running in the black within 60-90 days. There is simply not a better way to add rehabilitation or wound care services than with our RAMP module.

Q:  Our practice is in a rural area; will URS be able to find the staff that we cannot?

A:  Yes. URS has a full-time recruitment team that can meet even the most challenging recruitment needs. We pride ourselves in maintaining full staffing for our clients.

Q:  Does adding rehabilitation or wound care services violate the STARK Laws?

A:  This is a good question. No. The STARK Laws are in place simply to stop abuse. Our programs are structured to be totally compliant with all State and Federal regulations. Our dedicated team of healthcare attorneys review all arrangements to ensure compliance prior to initiation and we would not have it any other way.

Q:  How do we bill for rehabilitation or wound care services?

A:  There are a couple of billing structures that your practice can utilize. Our experienced team at URS will help you decide what is right for your practice. After that, our Billing Specialists will train your billing staff as needed. We have efficient and effective training methods that will make billing for rehab a breeze. We ensure that you are maximizing your reimbursement while maintaining revenue integrity. Our Billing Specialists are always available to answer any questions, should they arise.

Q:  How long will it take to get our rehabilitation or wound care service up and running?

A:  We can have most rehabilitation or wound care programs up and running in 90-120 days. This can be affected by how ready the practice is to start but we walk you through the entire process, making it a smooth addition

Q:  Do we need a lot of space to add rehabilitation or wound care services?

A:  Although this depends on your preferences, with the RAMP module, the answer is NO. We can get your rehabilitation or wound care services up and running with minimal space requirements. We will grow your rehabilitation program as desired to fit your practice goals.

Q:  How much net revenue can rehabilitation or wound care services generate for my practice?

A:  This is dependent on your patient population and typical rehabilitation/wound care referral patterns, but most practices are pleasantly surprised on how much revenue this additional service offering can generate.
